SPSS Intermediate: ANOVA

Dr Roz Collings

The ANOVA workshop focuses univariate (one-way) ANOVA analysis in SPSS. You will learn the basic theoretical underpinning of ANOVA as well as how to conduct a full ANOVA including checking for assumptions, descriptive statistics and post hoc analysis on SPSS (version 22). It is anticipated that you will have the ability to run and interpret a one–way ANOVA as both between and repeated measures upon completion of the workshop.

IMPORTANT: It is expected that you will already have some skills in SPSS and be able to do the basics such as draw graphical representations and run basic analyses on your data before attending this class.

This is the first of two workshops on ANOVAs. A follow up to this workshop is the Factorial ANOVA workshop,

This workshop is open to any student currently registered on a research degree programme at the University of Northampton or any Early Career Researchers. Further information is available from Simone Apel (simone.apel@northampton.ac.uk; 01604 893418).
